Here is a description of the role we are opening:

Responsibilities

  • Proactively perform duties in compliance with all regulatory, corporate, and internal EHS requirements; identify and assess workplace hazards beyond regulatory standards

  • Develop and continuously improve accident reporting and investigation processes and implement sustainable preventive measures

  • Maintain and update EHS legal documentation, including permits, SDS, and KPI data; ensure accurate input into corporate EHS reporting systems

  • Prepare, compile, and analyze key EHS reports, including legal registers, monthly safety and environmental metrics, incident investigation outcomes, etc

  • Develop and implement procedures for safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous chemicals and waste per regulations

  • Plan and conduct regular EHS audits; recommend corrective actions and support ISO 14001/45001 compliance

  • Deliver EHS orientation and training for new hires and contractors on policies and safety standards

  • Identify training needs to ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment

  • Lead inspections of fire prevention, emergency response, and first-aid equipments

  • Maintain the Record of Processing Activities (RoPA) and lead Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs)

  • Act as the main point of contact for data breach incidents, gathering necessary information to support risk analysis and notification procedures

Qualification

  • 3+ years of working experience as EHS Specialist / EHS Officer in a manufacturing industry

  • Bachelors in Engineering (Environmental, Sustainable or similar field)

  • Experienced in process scale-up support and machine guarding assessments

  • Eligible for local safety professional registration (Registered Safety Officer) as per regulatory requirements

  • Familiar with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems

  • Very good communication skills

  • Fluent in German and English
