Key Roles of an HSE Intern

Documentation & Reporting

• Assist in preparing HSE performance reports, and compliance documentation.
• Help maintain records of inspections, audits, program attendance and training sessions.

Safety Inspections

• Participate in routine HSE walkabout and hazard assessments.
• Support in identifying unsafe practices or conditions and suggesting corrective actions.

Training & Awareness

• Help organize HSE upskilling sessions and awareness campaigns.
• Prepare educational materials like posters, presentations, or handouts.

Regulatory Compliance

• Learn about legal requirements and PETRONAS Technical Standards related to HSE
• Support the team in ensuring compliance with laws and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).

Administrative Support

• Schedule meetings, manage files, and support day-to-day operations of the HSE department.

Field Work

• Accompany HSE officers during site visits or audits.
• Observe and learn about real-world safety practices and risk management.
