We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Sales Representative with a strong understanding of financial products, especially mutual funds, to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have a background in the banking or financial services sector and be passionate about identifying new business opportunities, building long-term client relationships, and delivering solutions that match clients' investment goals.
This role requires a proactive approach to lead generation, effective communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced sales environment.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect & Network: Identify and engage potential clients through various channels such as professional networking, referrals, industry events, social media, and cold calling. Leverage personal and professional networks to develop a strong sales pipeline.
- Client Relationship Management: Build, manage, and nurture strong relationships with new and existing clients. Understand clients' financial needs, goals, and risk appetite to offer tailored financial solutions, with a focus on mutual funds and other investment products.
- Sales Target Achievement: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets. Actively pursue and close business deals while ensuring a high level of client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and product innovations. Share insights with internal teams to refine sales strategies and client engagement tactics.
- Product Knowledge: Demonstrate a deep understanding of mutual funds, investment vehicles, and relevant banking products. Clearly communicate product features, benefits, and associated risks to clients.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, deal progress, and follow-ups using CRM tools. Prepare periodic sales reports and forecasts for internal stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or certification in financial planning/investments is a plus.
- 2 to 15 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
- Proven track record of building and managing client relationships.
- Strong understanding of mutual funds and financial investment products.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently or in a team setting.
- Strong networking and client acquisition capabilities.
Preferred Attributes:
- Existing network within the banking or financial services sector.
- Experience dealing with HNI (High Net Worth Individual) clients.
- Ability to explain complex financial concepts in simple terms.
