About the Role :

The MEP BIM Lead will oversee the development, coordination, and delivery of Building Information Models for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems across multidisciplinary projects. This role requires strong technical expertise in BIM software, leadership in design coordination, and a proactive approach to digital innovation and quality assurance.

 

Responsibilities

• Project Leadership
  Lead MEP BIM activities across all project phases, ensuring alignment with client requirements, project goals, and BIM execution plans
• Model Management
  Develop, manage, and maintain discipline-specific BIM models for MEP systems. Ensure model accuracy, compliance with standards, and integration with other disciplines
• Coordination & Clash Detection
  Facilitate interdisciplinary coordination using federated models and tools like Navisworks and Revizto. Resolve clashes and ensure constructability
• .Team Collaboration
  Work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems. Mentor junior BIM staff and support team development
• .Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  Represent the BIM team in client meetings, provide updates, and ensure expectations are met. Liaise with local authorities for compliance
• Quality Assurance & Documentation
  Implement QA/QC procedures, maintain documentation, and ensure deliverables meet technical and regulatory standards
• Digital Innovation
  Stay current with emerging BIM technologies and workflows. Contribute to digital transformation initiatives and improve modeling efficiency
• Data Collection and Analysis: Conduct research using primary data sources, and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends.
• Contract Management: Deliver required outcomes by managing day-to-day relationships with contract service providers while working within an established contract management plan.
• Project Management: Deliver small- or medium-scale projects while working within an established program management plan.
• Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective and document findings to complete cost-benefit analysis on implementing changes to business processes, products, or business unit structure.
• Business Case Contribution: Contribute to developing business cases to quantify current costs, justify project investment, and identify the return on investment.
• Knowledge Management System: Work within established knowledge management systems to deliver preset outcomes for an area of responsibility.
• Product and Solution Development: Define and deliver products and services that meet customer needs by selecting the best possible approaches available within established systems.
• Policy Development and Implementation: Work within established procedures to achieve specified goals.
• Improvement/Innovation: Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in  Electrical, or Building Services Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of experience in MEP design and BIM coordination
• Proficiency in Revit MEP, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM360, and other BIM tools
• Strong understanding of ISO 19650 standards and BIM protocols
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Experience in Middle East projects and regional construction practices preferred
