Job Summary:
The Securitization and Structured Products Senior Manager within the Third-Party Attestation practice, with a focus on Securitization and Structured Products will work under the direction of a Principal and is responsible for managing, executing, and growing the Structured Products group. Transactions may include Auto, RMBS, Timeshare, Insurance, Airline, Oil & Gas, Whole Business Securitizations, Solar, Financial and CLOs. The primary work will consist of Agreed Upon Procedures (AUP) reports which include ABS (cash flow modeling for new ABS issuances, Loan Tape File Reviews, Circle Up Procedures of 10ks, 10Qs, Investor Presentations, Term Sheets and Offering Memorandum) and CLOs (Payment Date Verification, Effective Date Reporting, Cash Flow Modeling). The Senior Manager is also responsible supporting Principals and Managing Directors in developing new business with existing clients and prospects of the Firm, including the identification of target companies. The Senior Manager is responsible supporting Principals and Managing Directors in managing all aspects of client pursuits and advises the practice Principal through all phases of the client proposal process.
Job Duties:
- Works closely with teammates on all aspects of the AUP report creation and delivery process and coordinate this work with all internal and external parties involved
- Performs and/or manages those performing one or more of our Securitization and Structured Products services: tape to file, circle ups, cashflow modeling, and payment date reporting
- Assists Principals and Managing Directors with day-to-day operations of practice
- Creates and manages project data rooms
- Assists in training and developing the team to deliver best in class work product
- Manages aspects, as needed, of a live deal process including customer communication and timing of deliverables
- Helps to develop and improve workflow processes including documentation of procedures and workflows to ensure efficient and accurate deliverables
- Contributes and understands firm risk management on projects and proposals
- Communicates (verbally and in writing) externally with clients and internally with all levels of the organization to successfully accomplish firm objectives
- Works with Principals and Managing Directors across the Firm to educate them on our Securitization and Structured Products services and cross sell those services with existing Clients
- Attends industry conferences and develop the brand name
- Other duties as required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Sets the tone for teamwork by supporting others in their work and delivering on commitments made to the team members and clients
- Supervises managers, senior associates, and associates on all projects
- Reviews work prepared by managers, senior associates, and associates and provide review comments
- Acts as a Career Advisor to senior associates and associates
- Schedules and manages workload of senior associates and associates
- Provides verbal and written performance feedback to senior associates and associates
- Teaches/coaches managers, senior associates and associates to provide on the job learning
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree, required; focus in Accounting, Mathematics, Finance or, Economics, preferred
- Master’s Degree in Accounting, Mathematics, Finance, or Economics, preferred
Experience:
- Eight (8) or more years of hands-on experience in securitization, structured products, or asset management, required
- Strong technical background including an in depth understanding of one or more of the following asset classes: RMBS, ABS, CLO and similar securitized and structured products, required
- Experience working with and building cash flow waterfalls, preferred
- Experience with securitization asset and liability cash flow modeling, preferred
License(s)/Certification(s):
One or more of the following certifications, required:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Certified Financial Planning and Analysis Modeling (CFPAM)
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
- Series 7
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE)
- FINRA License
Software:
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe, required
- Prior experience with Finsight or other similar industry research tools, preferred
- Prior experience with VBA or Python, preferred
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to interact with people at all levels of an organization
- Ability to present complex information in a usable format to a diverse audience
- Ability to understand complex legal documents related to asset backed securitization, including offering memorandum, indentures, credit agreements, and term sheets
- Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Understanding of regulatory requirements surrounding asset back securities
- Passion for developing and mentoring a growing team and helping to drive business growth
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous projects in a rapidly growing practice
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Limited travel required, including attending industry conferences as needed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
National Range: $225,000 - $250,000
Maryland Range: $225,000 - $250,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $225,000 - $250,000
