Your role and responsibilities
You will:
- oversee and coordinate daily administrative operations, including HR, finance, and IT processes, ensuring compliance with council policies and relevant legislation
- manage specialist systems and databases, maintaining data integrity, system security, and supporting reporting and analysis needs
- provide high-level administrative support, including complex diary management, meeting preparation, minute-taking, and event coordination
- support team leadership and development, including onboarding, training, and performance monitoring
- contribute to project delivery, conducting research, tracking progress, and supporting Health and Safety compliance activities
- act as a key communication link, drafting internal and external correspondence, advising on procedures, and fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
You will need:
- strong minute-taking and documentation skills, with the ability to accurately capture and summarise complex discussions.
- excellent IT proficiency, including experience with specialist systems and Microsoft Office tools, supporting efficient and accurate administrative work.
- to be an effective communicator and team player, able to build strong working relationships and provide clear advice and support across teams.
- to be self-motivated and confident working independently, using initiative to resolve issues and manage competing priorities.
- to be highly organised with strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
- understanding of confidentiality and data protection, with experience in handling sensitive information and monitoring budgets.
