At The Loving Company, we believe exceptional service starts with well-maintained equipment. Our fleet keeps our people and projects in motion, and we are seeking an experienced Mechanic who takes pride in delivering quality, reliability, and precision. This role is ideal for someone who brings deep technical skill, embraces evolving tools and technology, and thrives in an environment where their work has a direct impact on operational excellence.
This is more than a maintenance role. It is a career opportunity for a professional who understands the connection between mechanical performance and customer success.
What Success Looks Like
- Provide hands-on mechanical service and maintenance for medium-duty trucks, trailers, and landscaping equipment in commercial or dealership settings
- Own, organize, and maintain a professional-grade hand and power toolset for diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance, and field service
- Comply with all safety and regulatory requirements, including passing a Motor Vehicle Record check and DOT physical exam, and following FMCSA guidelines at all times
- Leverage fleet management software and mobile applications to create and close work orders, log parts usage, track inventory levels, and document service history in real time
- Diagnose mechanical issues using critical-thinking skills, develop repair plans, and execute solutions independently with minimal oversight
- Communicate effectively with field crews, office teams, and management—providing clear status updates, raising concerns promptly, and collaborating to resolve challenges
- Manage workload proactively, meet project deadlines, and uphold quality standards under varying schedules and priorities
- Maintain a growth mindset by pursuing ASE certifications, obtaining a commercial driver’s license within agreed timeframes, and supporting a bilingual workplace where needed
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned that support company-wide initiatives, business continuity, and the core values of The Loving Company.
