Market Controller

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Market Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization across a market. This role ensures the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of financial reporting while driving strategic financial planning and analysis. The Controller will lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements, manage regulatory compliance, and implement robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks. The individual will collaborate closely with market and global leadership to develop and execute budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide strategic direction and oversight to multiple market-level finance teams, ensuring alignment with regional and global objectives.
• Lead financial consolidation, reporting, and governance to enable cross-market decision-making.
• Translate corporate financial strategy into actionable regional plans in collaboration with leadership.
• Monitor market financial health, analyze variances and trends, and provide insights to inform strategic decisions.
• Lead complex budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning across markets.
• Implement financial systems and process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure consistent application of accounting standards, internal controls, and compliance protocols across jurisdictions.
• Act as primary point of contact for internal and external audits, regulatory authorities, and global finance.
• Advise leadership on investment decisions, risk mitigation, and financial strategies.
• Drive financial transformation efforts, including M&A integration and operational scale initiatives.
• Build and maintain internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure reporting integrity.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 10–12 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including 5 years in a regional or multi-country leadership capacity.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, reporting, forecasting, and financial compliance.
• Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and deliver strategic insights.
• Experience managing cross-functional finance teams in a global setting.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• Experience with financial transformation, ERP implementations, or post-merger integrations.
• Knowledge of digital finance tools and advanced reporting systems.
