Your role
As a Product Engineer at EVSE Australia, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation—designing, testing, and supporting cutting-edge EV charging hardware and software. This is a hands-on, versatile role where no two days are the same. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, collaborate with suppliers and customers, and help deliver reliable, high-performance products that shape the way Australia charges its EVs.

Product Development
Support the design and development of new EV charging hardware and systems
Conduct testing of products and software updates, identifying improvements
Liaise with hardware suppliers during design and validation stages
Technical Liaison
Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to provide technical input
Draft and review technical specs and product requirements
Assist with internal and customer training and documentation
Support commissioning and quality control of EV chargers pre-shipment
Customer Support
Deliver Tier 3 technical support to customers and electricians
Troubleshoot and resolve complex product issues
Mentor and provide guidance to Tier 1 and 2 support teams
Documentation & Reporting
Create and maintain technical documentation, manuals, and FAQs
Report on product issues, customer feedback, and training initiatives
Qualifications
AABOUT YOU
We’re looking for a driven and technically skilled engineer who’s passionate about sustainable technology and ready to make an impact in the fast-growing EV industry. You’ll bring a mix of hands-on experience, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills to help us develop and deliver cutting-edge charging solutions. The below skills and experience will see set you up for success in this role.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a focus on Electrical engineering being a plus.
- 2-5 years of experience in an Engineering role, preferably in R&D or product development for the EV, solar, or other internet of thing’s industry.
- Technical knowledge of EV charging technology is ideal.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and lead innovative product development initiatives.
- Experience working with international suppliers and manufacturing partners.
