As the Use Case Practice Lead, you will be responsible for leading initial engagement with Line of Business stakeholders to understand business needs. Leading the facilitation of scoping and estimation sessions, you will leverage the skillset of the extended Data & Analytics team to ensure delivery of intuitive, accessible and impactful data experiences, insights and products.

  

This role is based in Southbank and is part of the Group Operations team. 

  

This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to: 

  • Champion UC best practices and human-centered design principles across projects.
  • Facilitate workshops and scoping sessions with LoB stakeholders to uncover user needs and define insight and experience goals
  • Collaborate with D&A and digital teams to ensure UC is embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Contribute to centralised report catalogue or portal to improve transparency, reduce duplication, and encourage collaboration.
  • Provide insight to be leveraged in training programs and curated learning pathways for practitioners and end users.
  • Partner with business units to understand needs and co-develop BI solutions, leveraging established best practices, and improve the value and usability of insights.
  • Support initiatives to optimise BI development processes, including automation, performance tuning, and lifecycle management and also contribute to QA protocols to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of BI outputs.
  • Conduct reviews of data assets to improve usability, and connection with business needs.
  • Advance the AusNet-specific UC documentation, templates, and style guides to foster adoption of common standards.

 

You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of: 

  • Tertiary qualification in UX Design, Use Case Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or related field (essential).
  • Certifications in UC and/or UX tools or methodologies (e.g. HCD, Nielson Norman, HFI, UXQB) (desirable) / Postgraduate studies in analytics, management, or digital transformation (desirable).
  • Extensive (10+ years) demonstrated experience in leading solution ideation and enhancement in a complex or regulated environment.
  • Proven track record of designing/scoping solutions that meet complex business needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to inject design thinking into an organisation in a way that meets the business where they are
  • Ability to identify the need for cultural change in data and analytics adoption, including capability uplift and self-service enablement.
  • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams including data, engineering, and business stakeholders.
  • Deep expertise of UC principles, interaction design, and accessibility standards
  • Solid understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations in digital & data design and regulatory, privacy, and compliance considerations related to data use and reporting in a regulated industry (e.g., energy, utilities).
