Job Description

The Litigation Assistant position offers recent college graduates and early-career professionals a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in complex civil and criminal financial litigation. Litigation Assistants are integrated immediately into case teams and are responsible for assisting with various tasks, working closes with attorneys across the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze legal documents and case materials

  • Organize and manage deadlines and electronic case files

  • Prepare materials for meetings, court proceedings, and filings

  • Develop and implement organizational systems for case teams

  • Prepare attorney and client binders

  • Conduct factual and financial analysis

  • Perform legal research

  • Attend court proceedings or client meetings under attorney supervision

  • Coordinate in-person document delivery

The Litigation Assistant role provides a strong foundation in the practical and logistical aspects of legal work and litigation support.

Job Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered:

  • Fluent to native Korean and English language proficiency

  • Legal authorization to work in Korea

Additional preferred qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university with a strong academic record

  • Demonstrated excellent teamwork, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Interest in law and potential pursuit of a legal career

  • Students of all majors, including STEM, finance, social sciences, and liberal arts are encouraged to apply

This is a full-time role targeting a start date in October of 2025. A minimum two-year commitment is expected.

Additional Information

Litigation Assistants collaborate with attorneys and professionals across Kobre & Kim's global offices. After the first year, top performers have opportunities for advancement, including team leadership roles, practice area specialization, and/or potential international office transfers.

Based on experience and qualifications, the base salary is approximately ₩65,000,000, inclusive of a fixed overtime rate, plus an annual bonus contingent upon firm performance.
