About This Opportunity
The Australian Women and Girls' Health Research (AWaGHR) Centre is seeking an experienced and driven Manager, Research Projects to support the successful delivery of high-impact research projects, including the nationally significant Australian Longitudinal Study on Women’s Health. Working closely with senior researchers and leaders, you will play a critical role in the coordination, planning, and oversight of multidisciplinary research projects that shape health outcomes for Australian women and girls.
Key responsibilities will include:
Oversee the planning, implementation and delivery of complex, multi-site longitudinal research projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timeframes.
Support project leaders with expert advice in research reporting for cohort studies, data linkage, and technical documentation to enable high-quality outcomes.
Guide researchers through governance and compliance processes including ethics approvals, conflicts of interest and quality assurance measures.
Contribute to budget planning, financial management, and effective use of internal resources to ensure project efficiency and sustainability.

About You
Postgraduate qualifications (or progress toward them) in a relevant field, and extensive research or project management experience in the university or research sector.
Proven ability to lead and manage complex research projects, particularly longitudinal or cohort studies, in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with senior internal and external stakeholders, including funding bodies and research partners.
Exceptional writing and communication skills, with a strong ability to produce clear, concise and impactful reports, briefs and research documentation.
Advanced understanding of human research ethics, survey methodologies, and the processes involved in health data linkage.
Demonstrated self-motivation, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across diverse research teams.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, criminal check and education check. You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply. Employer sponsored work rights are not available for this appointment.
