Responsibilites:

A Porter is responsible for ensuring that facilities are clean and well-maintained. They may also perform general cleaning and light maintenance tasks, and assist with tasks like stripping and waxing floors, vacuuming, trash removal, cleaning pool furniture, etc. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Control:

Monitoring the performance of porters, providing guidance, and ensuring cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed to the required standard. 

• Maintenance and Cleaning:

Performing a wide range of cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal. 

• Safety and Security:

Follow safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions, and properly using equipment. 

• Inventory Management:

Ensuring cleaning supplies and equipment are available. 

• Communication:

Effectively communicating with team members, supervisors, and other staff. 

• Specific Duties:

May include stripping and waxing floors, disinfecting rooms, and performing other specialized cleaning tasks as needed. 

Skills and Qualifications:

• Cleaning and Maintenance Skills: Proficiency in various cleaning and maintenance tasks. 
• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with team members and other staff. 
• Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to identify and resolve issues related to cleaning and maintenance. 
• Physical Stamina: The ability to perform physically demanding tasks. 
• Attention to Detail: Ensuring that cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed to a high standard. 

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Cleaning/Janitorial experience: 1 – 2 years, preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish, preferred
• Great people skills with experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team
• Skilled at using mobile devices and apps
• Self-motivated, as well as, ability to work in a team environment.
• Work outside in cold, hot, and inclement weather conditions. ● Must be organized and able to follow a schedule.
• Learn and train on safety and company policies and procedures.
• Use all approved chemicals and tools.

Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
• Physically able to be on feet during an entire shift; walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching.
• Ability to stand, walk and squat throughout the shift and use repetitive hand movements and frequently lift weights of 25 pounds.
• Occasionally lifting as much as 50 pounds to heights of 10-70 inches.
• Able to carry a 12-18 lbs. backpack vacuum cleaner and air blower.

Pay and Benefits:

$17.00 - $17.50 per hour
