Electrical Apprentice Job Description

Electrical Apprentice Pay Range - $18-26 per hour

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

• Meter to shelter
• Inside shelter
• AC/DC power is an asset
• Generator/Transfer switches
• Ability to climb towers is preferred

Qualifications

Required Knowledge:

• Basic knowledge of electrical components
• Mechanically inclined
• Must have complete knowledge on use and care of basic hand tools and power tools

Job Related Certifications:

• OSHA 10 or 30
• First Aid/CPR

Personal Attributes:

• Must be able to travel up to 3 weeks at a time (hotel and per diem provided)
• Must be able to pass MVR, background check, drug/alcohol test, and DOT physical
• Self-Motivated and able to learn efficiently
• Team oriented

Work Environment & Physical Demands

The physical demands and work environment described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job.

• Up to 3 weeks travel at a time (hotel and per diem provided)
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, sit, and climb ladders
• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver minimum of 50lbs
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to travel to different job sites
• Frequently required to use hand and power tools
