Valiant is looking for a Site Security Manager to join our team! This position is located in Misawa, Japan. In this role, you will be responisible for:
- Provide site security management (Personnel Security Manager, Information Security Manager, Physical
Security Manager) over the Government provided aircrew training facility and support equipment, aircrew training devices, aircrew training products and training facility personnel - Document and report security vulnerabilities and incidents through the appropriate channels IAW local procedures.
- Comply with any Security Site Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Recommend inputs/changes/updates for Wing/Local SSPs/SOPs as necessary to ensure secure
operations. - Open training facilities, make service calls for repairs on training facility (such as: alarm systems, electrical, etc.), and/or close facilities at the end of the duty day.
- Ensure training facility members and visitors strictly adhere to requirements of Wing/Local System Security Plan (SSP) and Security Classification Guides (SCGs) to ensure that all mission related data is afforded required level of protection.
- Ensure employees comply with the local Computer Security (COMPUSEC) Communications Security
(COMSEC) program SOP for the system and provide day-to-day security administration to protect
classified, sensitive, and unclassified information processed in Information Systems (IS), which are
furnished to, and operated by, the Contractor. - Perform initial evaluations of security problems, conduct/schedule required security training for Contractor personnel, required self-inspections, physical security inspections, and review proposed configuration changes for impact on the Designated Approval Authority (DAA)-approved security posture and SSP/SOPs, IAW applicable DoD Directives, AFIs, and DOD 5200 Series Manuals.
- Maintain Personnel Security Folders on contract personnel.
- Perform any other duties as assigned
- Knowledge, experience, and understanding of both the DCSA and the IC community to effectively perform duties.
- Ability to complete the DCSA FSO training appropriate for a safeguarding facility.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage and oversee comprehensive security programs.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills and superior attention to detail
- Effectively communicate at all levels of the company and the government
- Strong interpersonal skills, work independently and the ability to work with a team, possess a positive attitude to do what it
takes to meet the mission. - Ability to plan, prioritize, schedule, and organize activities and workload while accomplishing objectives in fast paced
environment. - DESIRED: Working knowledge with ACCS, DISS, NISS, SIMS experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: TS SCI/SAP eligibility, must be able to maintain clearance requirements.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of experience of relevant security experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
