What You’ll Do
- Direct, develop and train a staff of team members, and including team leaders
- Conduct department team members’ daily and weekly meetings
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Uniformity throughout the DC.
- Cross train maintenance team for added strength between members of facility vs equipment repairs
- Ensure daily and weekly PM’s, logs, and checklist forms are maintained
- Travel to other buildings as needed for repairs on equip for supervising.
- Process daily employee paperwork (i.e. attendance, vacation, request for time off, VTO forms, etc.) & forward to facilities manager.
- Administer appropriate discipline for violation of any policy/procedure issues
- Promote an environment of open lines of communication with staff members
- Respond to emergency repairs of equipment and warehouse equipment to minimize production downtime.
- Coordinate and partner with the facilities manager in resolving warehouse maintenance issues.
- Organize and manage inventory of power tools and supplies being used in the shop: provide technical input and support as needed in the implementation of special projects on time: effectively supervise and schedule personnel and equipment resources to accomplish project on time: manage and control maintenance and repairs expenses to budget numbers as directed by facilities manager: purchasing and control of all warehouse parts and supplies.
What You’ll Bring
- High school diploma.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a maintenance team lead
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic operation.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical / mechanical diagrams as well as the fundamental process of PLC’s
- Ability to implement maintenance on all equipment as needed.
- Knowledge and experience with conveyed equipment such as motors, drives, belts, etc…
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Ability to safely operate numerous powered industrial trucks (Forklifts, scissor lifts, etc.)
- Understand OSHA safety requirements for Lockout Tagout, and Hazard communication, etc.
- Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to operate all forklift in the facility.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, reaching, and climbing stairs and ladders during shift
- Temperatures in the warehouse vary with the seasons; dress appropriately
- Ability to work from platform equipment
