Job Description

Virtix Health offers a range of services and products to its clients.  The call center supervisor is responsible for all end-to-end activities related to retrieval, and offshore activities. This includes working with the provider to obtain medical records, retrieving medical records by providing a list of medical records being requested for retrieval, coordinating scheduling the retrieval, and retrieving the medical charts from the provider.  

The call center supervisor must abide with HIPAA regulations pertaining to safeguarding and protecting patient’s right to privacy in handling all medical chart records.   

Responsibilities

• Ensure secure, reliable access to data while protecting member privacy according to HIPAA regulations.
• Oversee offshore retrieval team process from contacting provider to ensuring providers and medical charts are properly processed reviewed.  
• Manage and perform medical chart retrieval, including the set-up, monitoring of retrieval status, reporting, and overall success of the retrieval.
• Effectively and diplomatically communicate with provider sites as needed.
• Demonstrate exemplary customer services with provider sites.
• Develop and/or revise job documentation regarding the retrieval process.
• Oversee onsite vendors who collect records on Virtix behalf with onsite vendors.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalency required.
• Previous experience of medical chart retrieval, operations, and supervisor experience
• Effective verbal communication with ability to employ diplomacy when working with providers.
• Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in the retrieval lifecycle process.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations
• Basic understanding of computer communication
• High School diploma or equivalency required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The ability to perform work at a computer terminal for 6-8 hours a day and function in an environment with constant interruptions is required. Team Member may experience elevated levels of stress during periods of increased activity and with work entailing multiple deadlines.
