Sr. Network Security Engineer

Role Responsibilities:

• Design & Implement Secure Networks: Build and maintain secure network architectures, including firewalls, VPNs, GRE tunnels, IPS/IDS, Zscaler (ZIA and ZPA)
• Monitor & Respond to Threats: Continuously monitor network traffic, detect anomalies, and respond to security incidents.
• Conduct Risk & Vulnerability Assessments: Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities through regular assessments and penetration testing.
• Ensure Compliance & Governance: Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST, PCI-DSS, HIPAA).
• Automate Security Operations: Develop scripts and tools to automate monitoring, reporting, and incident response.
• Secure Cloud & Hybrid Environments: Implement and manage security controls for cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work with IT, DevOps, and compliance teams to align security with business goals.
• Document & Report: Maintain detailed documentation and generate reports on security posture and incidents.
• Support Business Continuity: Contribute to disaster recovery planning and ensure secure backup and recovery processes.
• Stay Current with Threat Landscape: Continuously research emerging threats, tools, and best practices to enhance security posture.

Role Purpose:

• We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructures. This role is critical in protecting our organization’s data and systems from cyber threats by ensuring robust security protocols, monitoring network activity, and responding to incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 10 years of experience in network security or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
• Experience with security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
• Familiarity with scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CCNP Security, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC.
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, OCI).
• Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE).
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, SOX).
