Do you want to lead and develop the Business Control function in a unique international organization? Business Sweden is now recruiting a strong leader with business acumen and genuine expertise in business control, who wants to work in an international environment helping Swedish companies to grow global sales and international companies to invest and expand in Sweden.
Business Sweden has more than 40 offices worldwide, and you will operate in a complex and truly international context. As Head of Business Control you will be responsible for a senior team of five business controllers and one senior system controller. Together with the team you will deliver substantial impact for Business Sweden. The role entails both strategic and operational work and you will lead the development of the function supporting strategic targets.
The role is based at Business Sweden’s Headquarters located in the World Trade Center in Stockholm. You report to the CFO and you are part of the Finance Leadership team. You will work closely with key leaders in the organization.
As Head of Business Control at Business Sweden your job will encompass a diverse range of tasks such as:
- Lead the business controller team and report to the CFO
- Hold overall responsibility for leading the financial reporting processes and supporting the regional and central functions with various financial matters and analyses
- Hold overall responsibility for the digital development of the function to make operations more efficient for the organization
Together with the team;
- Follow up and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual results and key performance indicators at group, regional, market, and office levels
- Develop and drive the budgeting and forecasting processes for the entire organization
- Conduct analyses and provide decision-making support
- Develop and review processes and routines related to financial reporting
- Develop and streamline reporting, management control, planning, and follow-up
- Lead and participate in digitalization and automation projects, as well as manage various internal projects
- Participate in the year-end closing process and contribute to the preparation of the Annual Report, including notes, for the Swedish entities

The role is based in Stockholm, but you will be expected to work with our teams and clients around the world, as required. The business controllers, reporting to you, all hold a leadership group position in their respective regions/functions, covering the entire operations.

Formal requirements
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.
- At least 10 years of relevant work experience as well as strong leadership experience.
- High level of expertise within business control; budgeting, forecasting, analysis, reporting, and follow-up.
- Experience working closely with executive management and contributing to strategic decision-making.
- Having experience from consulting, project-based and international environments is an advantage.
- High proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, BI tools).
- Experience of leading and participating in development initiatives, preferably within automation and digitalisation, is a merit.
- You have a high level of proficiency in both English and Swedish.
