Position Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Technical Trainer to join our team. In this key role, you will deliver hands-on training and learning experiences for new and existing team members across our manufacturing operations. You’ll play a vital role in developing skills, driving safety, and ensuring team readiness to meet production goals with excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Training Delivery: Facilitate hands-on technical training sessions in areas such as equipment operation, safety, quality, and standard work procedures.
- Onboarding Support: Lead new hire orientation and initial skills training for manufacturing roles to ensure readiness for production.
- Curriculum Development: Create, revise, and maintain training materials, standard operating procedures, and visual aids to support learning objectives.
- Competency Assessment: Evaluate learner performance through practical assessments and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Collaboration: Partner with supervisors, team leads, and subject matter experts to identify skill gaps and implement targeted training.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate training records, track progress, and support audits or compliance reviews.
- Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback and monitor effectiveness of training programs; recommend improvements for greater impact.
What You Bring
- Experience in delivering technical or skills-based training in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse learning styles.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety practices, and equipment operation.
- Ability to create clear, user-friendly training materials and instructional guides.
- Comfortable using technology, including learning management systems (LMS) or training tracking tools.
- A commitment to safety, learning, and team development.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
- This position requires time on the production floor as well as in classroom or meeting settings.
- Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods and occasionally lift training materials or equipment up to 25 lbs.
- Flexibility to work various shifts or overtime based on training schedules or business needs.
