Your New Role

Reporting to the Manager, Comprehensive Advice the Financial Planner is responsible for providing personal financial planning services predominately to members of AustralianSuper and non-members seeking to join AustralianSuper. This role is critical to the Fund’s objective to maximise the retirement outcomes of AustralianSuper members through increasing the quality and quantity of advice to members, long term financial sustainability and delivering compliant and ethical advice. 

 

Key duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Provide quality, compliant and ethical financial advice to members and non-members
  • Conduct client interviews and provide financial management solutions to satisfy member needs
  • Meet relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as set by the Fund
  • Complete non-advice activities as directed such as education seminars and Fund events 
  • Provide effective communication to members through incoming calls, enquiries and members who have selected to be contacts via campaigns 

 

What You’ll Need  

  • Minimum three years’ experience providing comprehensive personal advice to retail clients
  • Successfully completed an approved Financial Planning degree, or higher degree, or on track to do so by 1 January 2026
  • Successfully completed the Financial Adviser Exam.
  • Eligible to provide tax (financial) advice
  • A strong track record and proven success in delivering personal advice in a compliant, productive and ethical manner.
  • Professional personal presentation, communication and influencing skills.
  • High level of ethics and working in the member’s best interests
  • The ability to work as part of a cohesive team as well as autonomously.
  • Demonstrable track record of achieving relevant KPIs.
  • Excellent technical skills.
  • High levels of competency working with financial planning software (X-Plan preferred)
