Your Impact:
The position is responsible for client services administration and a high level of marketing and investor relations support to the client advisors.
Client Services Administration
- Working with the client advisors to translate research materials, marketing materials and fund related documents into Japanese
- Working with the reporting team based in both US and Japan to prepare specific quarterly/monthly/weekly/daily servicing reports requested by investors.
- In coordination with Compliance as needed, ensuring that marketing/servicing related materials and documents are reviewed in accordance with FSA’s requirements and other local regulatory requirements.
- In coordination with Legal, arranging necessary agreements/documents for clients.
- Making and leading arrangements for cash inflow/outflow, termination etc. on client accounts with all internal parties involved.
Marketing and Investor Relations
- Developing the knowledge of clients and their contact persons: better understand responsibilities/mandates, role within the organization, experience and personal interests.
- Developing an awareness of competition by reviewing industry press/surveys, looking out for new vehicles proposed by competitors, new competitors, mergers/restructures
- For ongoing client accounts with existing clients, working closely with client advisors, product specialists as well as reporting teams to coordinate any client communications including the distribution of quarterly/annual reports and responding to client requests for information
- Working closely with client advisors to follow up on client meetings: ensuring requests/comments expressed during/after the meetings and any further materials to be sent as requested
- Management of client database: ensuring that database is always up-to-date with latest contact information
Your Required Skills:
- At least 5 years of financial marketing and /or client servicing experience, preferably in the local institutional markets
- Fluent in English and Japanese both in writing and speaking
- IT literate: familiarity with management of client database (Salesforce), Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint and Excel), Access and Internet. Attention to visual aspect of presentations and ability to create and enhance presentations/spreadsheets
- Ability to multitask and enjoy working with the client advisors and other internal parties as well. Confidence to make certain decisions and react to client requests in the client advisors’ absence and know when to reach out to client advisors to inform and discuss action
- Proactiveness; ability to think forward/plan ahead
- Good organizational and management skills with the ability to prioritize efficiently between competing demands.
- Time management skills with the ability to plan/coordinate tasks to ensure deadlines are met
- Good communication skills with the ability to coordinate all parties involved, foster and maintain effective relationships internally and externally on a local and international basis
- Be attentive to details and meticulous to ensure that client database is up to date and consistent
- Developing knowledge of Prudential’s product offerings; clients and prospects; and the industry overall over time
