AML Quality and Strategy Analyst Intern (Global Payment) - 2025 Start (BS/MS)

About Global Payment
The Global Payment team of Bytedance provides payment solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on ByteDance platforms including TikTok.

Successful candidates must be able to commit to the following Internships
- From August to October, 2025 (Full time or Part time)

Candidates can apply to a maximum of two positions and will be considered for jobs in the order you apply. The application limit is applicable to ByteDance and its affiliates' jobs globally.

Successful candidates must be able to commit to at least 3 months long internship period.

Responsibilities
- Participate in Global Payment's quality assurance, strategy, and analytics of FCC compliance domain.
- Work with different business work streams, identify key control points and assess execution of processes against governed procedures.
- Execute reviews of FCC functional areas for adherence to existing policies and procedures specifically in the areas of KYC, due diligence, name screening, transaction monitoring and suspicious activity reporting.
- Complete clear and concise reporting which outlines findings and provides an effective and meaningful remediation plan.
- Reporting and the tracking of remediation efforts to completion
- Produce Management Indicator highlighting trends to allow management a snapshot of the operational FCC risk

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Undergraduate, or Postgraduate who is currently pursuing a degree/master in business management, finance or a related field
- Strong analytical and excel skills, with experience in strategic research, data modeling, and business valuation.
- Prior experience in payment, data analysis, or related fields

Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of payment industry; prior internship experience in compliance or finance is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels
- Effective problem solver and possesses excellent time management skills
- Ability to work methodically and accurately
