Maintenance Technician

Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team and support the operations of our three boutique hotels on the island of St. Croix, ranging in size from 11 to 71 rooms. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on professional who takes pride in keeping hospitality properties running smoothly, safely, and beautifully for guests and staff alike.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs across hotel properties
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and appliances
• Complete carpentry tasks including repairs to furniture, doors, and fixtures
• Carry out interior and exterior painting, as needed
• Conduct general plumbing and electrical repairs
• Assist in preventative maintenance programs for guest rooms and facilities
• Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests
• Work collaboratively with property managers and housekeeping teams
• Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and safe to use

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in hospitality maintenance or facilities management
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, appliance repair, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work
• Experience with painting and general building maintenance
• Ability to troubleshoot issues independently and prioritize repairs
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

• EPA certification for HVAC work
• Familiarity with island construction and materials a plus
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a bonus
