Project Officer/Scheduler
In this role, you would be responsible for managing and maintaining the schedule, including resource balancing and tracking milestone progress, as well as providing project support to the Contract Manager and Project Manager. You will support collation of reporting, minutes, risk and issue management, and other administrative project tasks. This role will also contribute to the delivery and maintenance of core domain documentation.
- Reporting to the Project Manager, this is a pivotal role in providing strong administrative support to project teams and developing and maintaining schedules to measure and record progress of activities throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, also responsible for liaising with key resources to ensure the success of projects.

- A Baseline Security Clearance is needed - Australian Citizenship is a must.
Your key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely achievement of milestones and deadlines.
- Identify potential project schedule delays, reporting, escalating, and facilitating intervention consistent with contracted timeframes.
- Prepare project documentation, including plans, progress reports, and meeting minutes.
- Assist in project planning, resource allocation, and coordination with project managers and team members.
- Support the project team with the development, implementation, monitoring, delivery, and evaluation of all aspects of the project, including program, project and risk reporting.
- Support the documentation of project risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, decisions, and delegation of actions.
- Coordinate project meetings, handling scheduling, agenda preparation, minutes, and documenting outcomes.
- General administrative support including invoicing, team meetings, diary management, etc.
The skills and experience we are looking for
- Relevant qualifications in Project Management and/or experience in project management methodologies (Agile, Prince2, PMBOK).
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, such as a diploma or better, are highly desirable.
- Proven high-level organisational and time management skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities and effectively deliver timely, accurate and high-quality work.
- Successful track record in implementing and managing contract scheduling.
- Strong organisational skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving.
- Customer-focused with strong relationship and interpersonal skills.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in project scheduling software such as MS Project and other Office supporting software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Previous experience supporting projects in a government or Defence organisation is highly regarded.
