The Computing Architect will lead the systems architecture conversation on large merger projects to align the acquired company’s systems and processes into Boeing's Digital Transformation roadmaps. You will expect challenging conversations that balance multiple business and technical priorities as well as the chance to directly drive long term value for The Boeing Company.
The successful candidate will also lead technical risk decisions that manage technical risk, strategic imperatives, and business process investments across all of the Enterprise Business Solutions (EBS) landscape and across Digital Transformation bedrock domains.
This position will require building strong partnerships with Enterprise Architecture, EBS executive leadership team, Information Technology (IT) from the acquired company, and business leaders tasked with integrating the companies.
Position Responsibilities:
Guide on-boarding of target entity business systems and tools into EBS landscape
Understand target architecture & systems to mitigate technical obsolescence and prioritize technical aspects of integration
Own incorporating target landscape into Digital Transformation roadmap including cross boundary questions across Boeing bedrock domains
Merge business capability priorities with technical imperatives to create and manage IT Statement of Work (SoW) backlog
Partner with peers across Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) to address overall project architectural concerns
Partner with target entity architects to merge priorities as target assimilates into IDT&S
Partner with EBS products and architects to merge capabilities and transition data throughout the project
Guide integration development for business process improvements
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
10+ years of experience with balancing short-term and long-term priorities to create effective IT roadmaps
1+ years of experience with understanding business domains across EBS capabilities
Experience with technical leadership
Experience with architecture principles and Digital Transformation strategies
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with strong communication to bridge business and IT concerns
Experience as a self-starter who can move through bureaucracy to enable execution and build credibility
Experience with BCA Supply Chain and Production architecture

Summary pay range: $142,800 - $207,000
