Basic Job Function:
This position will provide administration, operational, and financial support for the Property Services Division. Primary job responsibility is to assist departmental leaders in hiring team members, disciplining team members, developing and optimizing business processes, maximizing profits and driving efficient labor and resource management. Role will be heavily involved with strategic planning, operations consulting, forecasting, and growth processes. Role will analyze potential purchases of companies that will create synergies and additional profits.
Minimum Requirements:
- 3-5 years experience preferred
- Bachelors degree, preferably in hospitality/finance from an accredited college or university
- CPA or MBA a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented problem solver
- Collaborative and “can do” attitude
- Proven analytical skills
- Self-motivated and high level of accountability
- High level of Integrity
- Willingness to work long hours as necessary
- Demonstrated understanding for the high-end hospitality business and associated culture
- Experience delivering executive-level presentations
- Ability to deliver exceptional, quality assured work product
- Advanced abilities in Windows and Microsoft Office software applications such as: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and must have strong Excel and financial modeling skills to include extensive use of pivot tables functionality
- Demonstrated understanding and proficiency working with network, database, and point of sale information systems
- Demonstrated understanding of corporate strategic planning and analysis processes
- Proficient with peripherals, copier, fax, telephone and calculator
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of current client services, activities, dining options, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding Sea Island and the surrounding area to answer any questions clients may have to the best of one’s ability
Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Work with the Directors and managers of Property Services in hiring, terminating, and coaching team members
- Help create new positions as necessary as the Division grows and changes and write job descriptions
- Help allocate potential bonus funds among team members at the end of each year
- Assist in development of a strategic plan and measure results against plans annually
- Develop analytics to measure optimization of labor and measure against them monthly using dashboards and reporting
- Ensure Property Services is complying with all regulatory issues / standards
- Ensure all licenses and permits are in place related to the Property Services business and apply for all each year or whenever applicable
- Provide training and development for new team members as they are onboarded and continued training and development for more tenured team members
- Create and maintain a database of all equipment owned and used by the Property Services team and ensure all equipment is maintained a the appropriate level
- Seek out new potential businesses and analyze whether a purchase would be accretive to the business and a good purchase
- Mentor Property Services leaders on business fundamentals and how financials relate to them
- Analyze data to drive cost and labor efficiencies while maintaining Sea Island’s high levels of quality and service
- Heavily assist in preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts
- Deliver insightful ad hoc analysis
- Develop and maintain various forms of management reporting and assist with the ongoing budgeting and planning process for the company
- If applicable, complete a Guest Problem Resolutions (GPR) form on any issues (solved or unsolved issues) and follow-up on issues as needed (if computer access is not available give information to admin support)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas
- Uphold appropriate departmental standards of quality/timing
- Uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures
- Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediately
- Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement
- Willing and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull and walk for prolonged periods
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- If applicable, must have the ability to work for extended time periods in an outdoor environment, including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain, and higher than normal noise levels
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy
- Ability to lift, carry, pull and push up to 20 lbs intermittently throughout a shift
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
- May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical and fume hazards
