Packaging Supervisor- Plainview, Texas

General Summary:

Under the direction of the Production (Packing) Manager the Production Packing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the packing and ensure efficient running of all packing lines for Fawema and Slidell machinery.  The incumbent is responsible for training and coaching subordinate team and staff in the department.  The production packing supervisor is also responsible for commitment to safety meetings, corporate mandate as required and assigned. The Production Packing Supervisor will be committing to departmental safety goals, environmental ISO-14001 compliance and other assignments to run the packing department with accuracy and efficiency.

 

Essential Functions:

• Supervise, train, coach and provide the resources to personnel within the packing department
• Approve, change and communicate work schedules to subordinates and on ADP.
• Act as a liaison between management and other departments to ensure proper process
• Enforce department harmony of staff in schedule, punctuality and corrective actions
• Control and ensure the appropriate packing of 50 lb bags and retail
• Ensure quality of flour is being packed appropriately
• Supervise and monitor addition of additives to flour
• Ensure all reports related to the department are filled correctly and accurately
• Enforce all safety PPE, meetings and safety guidelines
• Must know how to use SAP, and other inventory software
• Ensure all requirements and SOPs are followed within the ISO14001 department matrix.
• Additional duties may be assigned and requested by local management

 

Essential Duties:

• Ensures SOPs or policies are followed by subordinates
• Enforces company policies and procedures by corporate mandate
• Ensures departmental area is kept clean
• Performs additional duties in relation to corn local and as required

 

Qualifications and Education Requirement:

• College Degree: (BS, BA, BSM, ect.).
• Certifications: Basic Supervisor Training, HACCP, GMPs.
• Experience: 5 plus years in Agricultural or Food Manufactoring Industry, preferable not required.
