The Florida Panthers are a community focused organization led by an authentic management team that served our country and now serves the South Florida community. The organization is expanding outside of Amerant Bank Arena via the renovation of the FTL War Memorial in downtown Fort Lauderdale. This state-of-the-art ice facility features two regulation-size rinks, including a new team practice rink with stadium seating, and a 4,000-capacity music theatre for live entertainment. The future is bright, and we are very proud of what we are building in South Florida.

Job Summary:
The 2025-26 Seasonal Communications Intern will assist the Communications team in providing quality media relations to local and national media covering the Florida Panthers. The role will be responsible for support in the preparation and dissemination of media documents as well as game day operations including check-ins, credentialing and more.
Job Functions:
Specific duties include but are not limited to:
- Press Box set up, pre and postgame
- Collection, transcription, and distribution of postgame interviews
- Interaction and fulfillment of on-site media requests
- Organize game day stats and information for distribution to media, visiting team personnel, etc.
- Assist in game day media relations tasks such as credentialing, check-in, document distribution, statistics and online coverage tracking
- Written duties may include support on press releases and other written communications
- Accumulation and digital tracking of external media clips
Qualifications:
- Preferred but not required to be current college student or post-graduate student in a Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or Digital Media Field
- Must be able to work home games and events on weekends and holidays as needed; must be willing to commit to working all or most home games during the 2025-26 postseason.
- Hockey knowledge and communications skills are necessary
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Should demonstrate professional behavior and appropriate attire at all times
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suites and Excel a plus
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is an hourly non-exempt position. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and occassional holidays..
