Shipping Supervisor Plano

Position Summary

OPEX Corporation is looking to hire a full time Shipping Supervisor to work at our Plano, TX facility. The worker must be able to commit to a full-time schedule while working during our first shift from 7:00am through 3:30pm or 8:00am through 4:30pm. We are looking for dependable, organized, and team-oriented individuals for this opening. Responsibilities

·         Ability to Manage and train a staff of 6 to 10 employees

·         Knowledge/Experience with UPS WorldShip System

·         Utilize plant ERP system (Oracle) to process all outgoing shipments

·         Supervise the process and execution of Parcel and Freight Shipments

·         Prepare all documents, labels and packaging necessary for outgoing shipments including International shipment documentation

·         Communicate with freight handlers, customers, brokers and all necessary parties in the supply chain to coordinate incoming and outgoing freight.

·         Work with Production and Inventory Control to verify inventory transactions and maintain inventory accuracy

·         Work in conjunction with the Sales/Service teams to ensure timely scheduling of parts deliveries

 

Qualifications

·         Associates degree or equivalent experience

·         Proficient in MS Office

·         Ability to communicate complex topics with various customers via email and phone

·         Solve problems independently to ensure timely deliveries

·         Experience using Oracle ERP system is a plus

·         International Shipping Experience a plus

·         Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks

·         Ability to lift 50 pounds

·         Prior Transportation Industry experience helpful
