JOB TITLE:  

Work Study/Office Aide   

DEPARTMENT INFORMATION: 

Criminal Justice & Sociology and SPPAIS

Job location: College of Arts & Sciences - Business Office

Pay rate or range: 11.00 per hour

JOB PURPOSE:   

Students in this position will assist office staff and faculty by performing general office duties.   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

assist the business office staff and faculty with general office duties  

SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS: 

copying, scanning, shredding, using computer programs and social media for flyer creations, mail pick up and distribution  

COMPETENCIES: 

Ability to perform general office duties.  Ability to operate computers and various office machines.  Ability to follow directions. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Ability to run Photoshop, Adobe, Excel, Word for creation of flyers and posters for Criminal Justice, Sociology & SPPAIS events.  
  • Self motivation and Self reliant.  
  • Strong customer service skills and willingness to assist staff, faculty and students.  
  • Ability to perform general office duties.
  • Must be eligible, have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.   

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:   

  • Experience with basic office duties to assist staff and faculty. 
  • Ability to perform the computer programs to assist with future events for the Criminal Justice & Sociology and SPPAIS departments.
  • Experience stocking SWAG and keeping inventory.
