Preferred Skills: PAY: $45,000+/ANNUALLY DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE.
- Knowledge/experience with bench-scale testing, remedial optimization, and performance modeling.
- Knowledge of geochemical modeling or remedy design tools (e.g., MODFLOW, RT3D, RemChlor, or similar)
- Ability to lead or contribute to business development efforts and proposal writing.
- Strong mentorship skills for developing junior staff.
- Existing client relationships in industrial, municipal, or government sectors are a plus.
- Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain as appropriate for experience).
Key Responsibilities:
- Support planning, execution, and reporting for site investigation and remediation projects.
- Perform remedial design, including amendment selection, dosing calculations, and injection design for in-situ technologies.
- Oversee and direct field implementation of in-situ remedies, including drilling oversight, injection system setup, and contractor management.
- Conduct performance monitoring, data interpretation, and optimization of ongoing remedial systems.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and internal resources.
- Maintain and build client relationships, providing technical guidance and responsive communication.
- Prepare and review technical deliverables, including work plans, reports, regulatory submittals, and proposals.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, client expectations, and internal quality control procedures.
- Mentor and provide technical direction to junior staff.
- Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and scope development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related environmental science field.
- 0–15+ years of experience in environmental consulting with a strong focus on groundwater remediation.
- Knowledge or experience with in-situ remediation technologies, including:
- Bioremediation
- In-Situ Chemical Oxidation (ISCO)
- In-Situ Chemical Reduction (ISCR)
- Strong knowledge of hydrogeology, geochemistry, and contaminant fate and transport.
- Excellent skills in technical writing, data interpretation, project management, and client communication.
- Proficiency with environmental data analysis tools (e.g., MODFLOW, MT3DMS, AquaChem, EQuIS, etc.).
- Familiarity with federal and state environmental regulations (RCRA, CERCLA, state cleanup programs, etc.).
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification required (or willingness to obtain).
