- Directly supervises and provides the delivery of medical and clinical services in accordance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Partners to facilitates and lead in the development of organization wide best clinical practices, guidelines in accordance with evidence based medicine
- Actively works positively, flexibly and cooperatively in a team model within and across departments to accomplish the goals of the organization.
- Meets regularly with management, nursing and other professional staff to discuss clinical and administrative issues, specific patient care problems, offering solutions to problems and identifying areas where policy should be developed.
- Provides direct supervision and mentoring to the clinical providers
- Serves as a clinical resource to assist in day to day problem solving in coordination with management and nursing to ensure efficient, high quality care with an emphasis on customer service.
- Monitors and evaluates performance and implements corrective actions when needed to achieve organizational priorities
- Delegates projects, work, new roles and responsibilities to the clinical staff as needed.
- Assists in the recruitment and retention efforts of the organization.
- Seeks to understand and meet the needs of patients, families, co-workers and vendors with respect, thoughtfulness and cultural humility.
- Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication.
- Knows, understands and adheres to all organizational policies.
- Works cooperatively and effectively with the VP of Medical Care, VP of Population Health & Quality, VP of Clinical Operations, clinic management and nursing to ensure efficient, timely, respectful and high quality patient care services.
- Partners with the Executive Leadership Team and clinic management to monitor costs and revenues of the health centers and make recommendations for any necessary corrective actions as in response to emerging / unplanned needs.
- Participates in peer review and makes recommendations for improvements to the process.
- Actively participates in quality improvement activities, including the development of clinical guidelines.
- Actively participates in the teaching of residents, medical students and other health professionals.
- Serves as an advisor to other clinical services such as laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, optometry, nursing or Behavioral Health/ Mental Health.
- Participates in leadership meetings as designated by the VP of Medical Care or VP of Population Health & Quality, with a focus on clinical care and site needs.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Oversees Physicians, Nurse Practitioners (NP), Physician Assistants (PA), and could include other providers as designated by the VP of Medical Care or VP of Population Health & Quality.
Work Environment
Primary environment is an ambulatory health care setting; secondary environment is at community-based sites (e.g. festivals). This role requires regular walking. This role periodically comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This role is mixed between clinical and administrative duties.
Physical Demands
This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, and kneeling. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move items over 20 pounds.

Required Education and Experience
- Medical school diploma, MD PA or NP
- DEA Certification
- Minnesota state medical license
- Active BLS Certification
- Minimum four year of post-residency experience in a community-based setting
- Bilingual Spanish/Hmong Highly Preferred
- At least 5+ years’ experience in ambulatory care or a federally qualified health care
- At least 3+ years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role in healthcare
Additional Eligibility Requirements
- Demonstrated success in working effectively with target population(s).
- Change Agile; ability to operate in the gray and flex to new developments or situations.
- Experience working in a multi-site environment is highly desired.
