Wood is recruiting for a National Administrator to join our team in Equatorial Guinea.
Main duties are to provide administrative and operational support to the HR team and employees.
Please note this position is only to National Equatorial Guinea personnel.
Location: Equatorial Guinea
Rotation \ Work Pattern: Residential position 6-day week \ 8-hour day
Key Responsibilities:
Provides administrative and operational support to the HR team and employees.
• Manages documentation, reporting, and coordination of HR-related activities and events.
• Acts as a key enabler for HRBPs and Learning & Talent teams by handling routine processes and freeing up strategic capacity.
• Maintains confidentiality and quality in handling sensitive employee information.
• Interfaces with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth HR operations.
• Coordinates logistics for meetings and events, including catering, venue setup, and audio/video arrangements.
• Oversees general office administration, including supply management, mail distribution, and guest handling.
• Prepares and maintains reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence as needed
administrative support
• Maintain and organize personnel files and HR documentation (e.g., seniority requests, time management, loans, medical insurance, INSESO, work permits, visas).
• Handle memo correspondence, scanning, filing, and document control.
• Manage travel arrangements, meeting logistics, and office supply orders.
• Process and code HR-related invoices.
event and calendar coordination
• Coordinate the integrated HR calendar, including training sessions, town halls, celebrations, and virtual events.
• Organize venues and logistics for HR events.
communication and reporting
• Support HR communications (e.g., employee announcements, reminders, HR portal updates).
• Generate and present HR reports from Workday (e.g., training, compliance, vacation, absences, overtime, BEAC, MOL).
systems and process support
• Responsible for Time and Labor reporting and ensuring timely submission and approval of timecards.
• Coordinate documentation for HR processes and local compliance requirements.
• Maintain training records and databases as needed.
other duties
• Assist with ad hoc HR reports and data analysis.
• Support employee inquiries and escalate issues when necessary.
• Maintain HR resource inventory.
• Contribute to special projects and presentations as needed
What makes you remarkable?
Essential requirements for this role:
• High school diploma required, bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• Several years of administrative experience.
• Experience in HR or a related field.
Desirable:
• Experience in the oil & gas industry is preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Highly organized, able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
