Associate Specialist, New Product Logistics

The Data Center Business Unit develops solutions for data center infrastructure, power delivery, power control, and high voltage power and protection
The Position:
The Data Center Business Unit is seeking an Associate New Product Logistics’ Specialist role which will be responsible for the logistics aspects of new product development within the Data Center Business Unit.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Liaise between product line and manufacturing organizations
- Drive new product workflow processes by working with different departments, subcontractors to support business deliverables
- Regularly synchronize with team members from design, applications, assembly, and manufacturing to receive and provide updates regarding material and packaging needs to support the development of new products
- Anticipate potential issues in the project management workflow and take proactive steps to resolve the issues by working with teams, suppliers and external stakeholders
- Communicate regularly with team and suppliers to ensure adequate supplies of materials and packages are ordered and available from beginning wafer fabrication through finished goods
- Interface with the internal customers to apprise them of delivery of new project sample; own new product sampling and processing to ensure on time delivery of samples to internal and external customers
- Create and maintain all product bill of materials master data to ensure completeness and accuracy and that there is an adequate capacity of required materials for product development
- Advise teams on efficiencies in packaging and material use and provide alternative options as available
- Create, review with the team, submit & check progress of UTO, PRIME, SARFs & SLR applications which are used in ADI for product development, and any other manufacturing interface forms for the projects
- Order all material required for development projects and monitor progress to ensure instructions are carried out as required
- Review the status of WIPs for evaluation, qualification, characterization and report to team on progress versus commits
- Manage and disposition any engineering WIPs and escalate/expedite material when required
- Maintain PLE (Product Life Environment) milestones on the projects
- Manage and track status across multiple projects
- May participate in training related travel (Travel 0-10%)
The ideal Candidate
- College graduate, not degree specific.
- Very good communications skills, both oral and written, are a key requirement
- Teamwork & inter-personal skills are essential, coupled with demonstrated ability to work at a high level of performance both independently and in large teams.
- Strong organizational & planning skills and the ability to work to aggressive schedules.
- Quick learner and continuous learning on-the-job
- Detail oriented and adept at multi-tasking
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Knowledge of semi-conductor industry and/or manufacturing flows would be advantageous.
