About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and linguistically skilled Content Analyst (Japanese) to join our Transcripts team at Refinitiv. This role involves producing and ensuring the quality of financial transcripts using proprietary tools and techniques. Our team is committed to delivering highly accurate transcripts with rapid turnaround times.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and edit transcripts in line with our transcription style guide.
- Conduct quality assurance audits on transcripts.
- Test and evaluate new transcription and production methods.
- Support transcript-related features and perform additional QA tasks.
- Maintain and update research databases.
- Assist with operational processes, including redlining and version control.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in Japanese and English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Strong understanding of grammar, sentence structure, and the relationship between spoken and written language.
- Ability to work independently and make sound editorial decisions quickly.
- Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Typing speed of approximately 60 WPM.
- Japanese language certification at B1 or B2 level (JLPT N2 or N3 or equivalent)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; however, candidates with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.

- Journalism (print, digital, or broadcast)
- Freelance writing or editing
- Language instruction (English or Japanese)
- Editing, proofreading, or transcription
- Legal or court reporting
Additional Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience working with editorial or transcription style guides
- Familiarity with Service Cloud or similar platforms
- Background in finance or knowledge of financial terminology
