What this job involves:
This critical role supports the China CEO and the Leadership Board across multiple and varied activities designed to optimize the CEO Leadership productivity. This role utilizes extensive internal and external networks, coupled with comprehensive organizational knowledge, to anticipate and address support requirements proactively.
What your day-to-day will look like:
This individual is focused on overseeing key business initiatives of the China CEO, supporting the CEO on external engagements, client meetings, internal compliance, external regulations and driving execution into the broader organization including:
Prepare materials for China CEO for key meetings including:
- Client engagements - prepare agendas for trips with clients, external speaking engagements, complaints and crisis management
- Maintain abreast of macro-economic trends to incorporate thoughts into briefings or analysis provided
- Drive follow-up and advances priorities, liaising with internal stakeholders
- Assist with key client correspondence and follow-ups as required
- Work closely with the China Leadership Board to provide leverage to the CEO and Leadership Board on assignments that are highly confidential and require individual to demonstrate integrity and sounds judgement in handling sensitive matters.
Organize and drive Leadership Board meetings to:
- Set out and establish agenda for meetings
- Communicate with teams regarding presentations, materials, deadlines etc
- Review and refine materials to ensure they meet quality standards prior to submission
- Drive follow-ups and execution of action items with Leadership and other team members post meetings
- Handles a myriad of tasks defined by the Board, ensuring coordination across lines
Serve as the primary point of contact and gatekeeper for China CEO, exercising discretion and judgment to manage access to the executive. Proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, ensuring the CEO’s time is utilized effectively for strategic priorities. Anticipate China CEO’s needs balancing internal obligations with external commitments. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, diplomatic communication, and the ability to make decisions that protect China CEO's time and energy for critical leadership functions.
Internal and external engagement – ensuring connectivity of key functions and agendas, stakeholder feedback, strategy developments and communication cascades, working closely with communications/marketing/HR to ensure preparation for country comms (eg videos, press releases, townhalls)
Support the CEO and Country Board to drive brand presence – leading the industry, brand enhancement with media opportunities and CEO forums, managing social media presence, protecting the brand with crisis and issues management, taking the industry into the business community
Support CEO and Leadership Board in aligning global strategies with local initiatives
