Associate Software Engineer

Business Solutions Engineer – Corporate and Legal Solutions

CSC is currently looking to fill a position on our Business Solutions Team.  As a Business Solution Engineer, you will work internally across our departments and business teams to identify, design and implement solutions to their process challenges. 

Some of the things you will be doing: 

• Working with a team and project stakeholders to identify and creatively solve business challenges 
• Developing automated processes to save time or improve quality 
• Ensuring projects are delivered on-time, and within scope 
• Analyzing data to identify and pursue opportunities effectively 
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation 
• Identifying process improvements and handling implementation 
• Learning new tools and systems frequently 

What technical skills, experience and qualifications do you need? 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or Information Systems
• Intermediate to Expert proficiency with Excel 
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently 
• 1-5 years of hands-on software design and development experience.
• Experience with Python, Java, SQL, JavaScript.
• Experience with Power Query, Power BI, and/or Power Automate. 
• Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is a plus. 
• Experience with relational databases is a plus.
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills 
• An eagerness to learn new technology 
• Data collection, management, and analysis skills 
• Strong organizational and planning skills 
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• An understanding that his/her success is interdependent on the success of his/her team, and a commitment to do everything possible to ensure the team's success.
