The Role
The objective of the Sales Executive is to build a culture focused on the visions and values of the business and an aggressive sales hunter responsible in supporting the Senior Sales Manager Corporate and Director of Sales in sourcing, securing and maximising all sales opportunities and key account management. To take initiative in creating moments of ‘WOW’ for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve KPI goals as set by the hotel for corporate FIT, corporate groups & meeting revenue, and other segments including TMCs
- Maintain regular contact with key allocated Corporate and TMC contacts in the appropriate market segments including site inspections, daily sales calls and regular onsite hosting to build relationships ultimately leading to new business
- Submit RFPs via Cvent (Lanyon), ReadyBid and HRS and maintain Delphi database of current and new clients leading to new business opportunities and complete rate loading forms for accepted account.
- Establish a regular proactive sales call cycle to build leads and increase the level of new business won for the hotel. With a minimum number face to face and new business calls per week
- Actively source new accounts including SME Accounts and develop existing accounts that will meet the yield objective of the hotel
- Analyse opportunities using Agency360 and target corporate and TMCs to win business from competitor hotels
- Maintain and analyse Excel reports, Agency360 and Delphi database of current and new clients leading to new business opportunity
Your skills and experience will include:
- Minimum 1 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a 5 star hotel. Ideally with previous hotel experience in the Sales department.
- Knowledge and confident user of Excel, Powerpoint, Delphi, and Shiji PMS.
- The role will require a positive, bubbly, and inquisitive personality that can connect and build client and business-generating relationships
- Proven ability to handle volume information/data and foresee business opportunity
- Previous experience in cold calling with the motivation to keep up the momentum
- A high level of organisation, administration, and time management skills to handle the volume of emails, inquiries, and data
- Hospitality qualifications will be well regarded with the ability to speak another language preferred but not essential
