Senior Merchandiser - Development

(Based at Ratmalana)

Intimates’ customers include Victoria’s Secret, Gap, and Calvin Klein. The division's innovation teams collaborate with universities and experts to deliver consumer-driven, technology-led solutions. We are seeking for an individual to follow through and manage activities within the entire process, whilst supporting management in building relationships, ensuring price right, timely and accurate information is maintained with all relevant parties in order to drive operational excellence and achievement of set business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage customer expectations by catering to their specific development requirements, enable the process of commercialization with pricing, in a timely manner in order to achieve set objectives.
Effectively manage the customer development calendar to meet internal / external deadlines, requirements and work on New Development projects for business growth, whilst maintaining cordial relationship with all the internal stakeholders.
Together with sound business and merchandising acumen, build relationships and credibility with internal, external teams and the customer to drive efficiencies and operational excellence.
Work with management to ensure all customer communications and customer visit preparations are completed within the stipulated timeframe whilst demonstrating ability to translate customer requirements to meet/ exceed expectations.
Procure Raw material in the Right quantity, colour and article as per BOM in order to ensure availability in accordance with the plan.
Oversee and ensure costing, cost re-engineering, BOM, PLM and salesforce updates are completed in a timely and accurate manner whilst ensuring internal earning aspirations are met to support the achievement of set objectives.
Diligently ensure the following duties are competed in a timely and efficient manner so as to ensure smooth order management functions.
Build connectivity between development and bulk especially focusing on the time taken to conduct risk mitigation activities at each stage which is required to ensure product feasibility and due diligence is performed to ensure seamless handover to production.
Coordinate the sample development process, participate in development meetings, whilst sourcing fabric and other raw material based on the customer request, in order to ensure samples / prototypes are completed and delivered in a timely manner.
Oversee/ support and guide the team in the colour sample process by updating relevant information into the system in a timely and accurate manner to facilitate the effective completion of samples.
Negotiate terms such as price, delivery, MOQ/MCQ and greige availability together with respective Fabric Technologists and ensure the best raw material suppliers have been identified in order to optimize benefits in line with customer and business expectations.
Proactively work in collaboration with the team to formulate, implement and deliver on lean initiatives and kaizen activities whilst also taking on new projects in order to achieve departmental strategies.

Qualifications and Skills:

Degree in Marketing / Management qualification in a relevant field.
3-4 years of relevant work experience.
Knowledge on Product Development, styles and samples.
