Starting Pay: $22.60 per hour

Position Summary: 

Responsible for ensuring adequate maintenance inventories of tooling, production parts, and related items for maintenance as needed. Help troubleshoot, identify and correct issues that cause inventories to be inaccurate.

Reports to: Maintenance Manager and provides support when interfacing with Supply Chain, Quality, Customer service and others as needed. Additional reporting to Maintenance Supervisor and Plant Manager.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists in reviewing inventory levels. 
  • Places purchase orders as needed and provide follow-up regarding timely delivery of goods.
  • Assists in the quarterly inventories and year-end inventory audits.
  • Conducts cycle counts of maintenance items as determined necessary to ensure accurate and appropriate inventory levels.
  • Maintains information regarding vendor files, quotes, and related files. 
  • Assists in vendor interactions such as issuance of purchase orders, complaints, etc.
  • Promotes the quality system through adhering to the elements of and being familiar with the philosophy, quality statement, quality manual, and procedures. 
  • Assist in reconciling accounting and receiving document issues that relate to purchase orders and freight
  • Promotes health, safety and environmental regulations by ensuring that standards, policies, and procedures are adhered to in compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Requires High School Diploma or GED.
  • Analytical skills required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AS-400 or other enterprise-wide system experience preferred.
  • Associate degree is preferred.
  • Two (2) year experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain preferred.

Work Environment:

  • The Purchasing Coordinator will be located at the Waco, TX plant.
  • Works in a comfortable air-conditioned office environment; must be able to enter the production area on occasion.
  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or otherwise move office materials, files, etc.
