Sioufas & Associates Law Firm, a leading Greek law firm with offices in three major cities of Greece (Piraeus, Thessaloniki and Patra) and in Romania (Bucharest) is currently looking for a law professional specialized in Corporate Law with a focus on Energy Law to support our expanding Legal Team in Athens.
Your goal is to provide top-level legal services for our clients in the Corporate & Energy sector. You will work on complex and challenging projects and assist the clients in regulatory and transactional matters while identifying risks and actively focusing on our clients’ satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
- Negotiation and drafting of all types of legal agreements, commercial contracts & documents
- Legal Research and drafting of legal opinions
- Support on day-to-day needs of corporate clients through every stage of the corporation’s life cycle, including, corporate book-keeping, preparation of corporate minutes, advisory on corporate law requirements
- Corporate governance and regulatory compliance based on the corporation’s structure and needs (whether private or listed or otherwise regulated)
- Corporate restructurings and transformations
- M&As procedures (design and implementation of the transaction structure, performing legal due diligence services and highlighting legal risks to the transaction, negotiation and drafting of all transaction documents, advising on merger control and other regulatory aspects etc.)
- Creating and maintaining a good rapport with the firm’s clients through effective and consistent communication and proper explanation of legal issues and processes to clients
- Working effectively as part of a team, including taking an active part in sharing knowledge
- Participates in client meetings/phone conferences
Requirements
- University degree in Law
- Master’s degree or Certification in energy law will be considered an asset
- Background in corporate, commercial & energy law
- Minimum 5 years of work experience, preferably at a Greek law firm with a focus on corporate & energy law or in the legal department of an energy company dealing with corporate and energy issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Greek and English)
- Exceptional negotiating skills
- Business acumen with a solution-oriented approach
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
