INNOFORUM - Academic Discussion Platform

Context

Indonesian campuses needed a dedicated space for academic discussions that connects students, lecturers, and administrators. Existing platforms often lacked the necessary features for effective communication and engagement. INNOFORUM addresses this gap by providing a secure and interactive forum tailored to the needs of educational institutions.

What I built

I developed a comprehensive academic discussion platform that includes features like role-based access, real-time notifications, and an admin dashboard. Users can engage through threads and comments, while an academic calendar keeps everyone informed. The system also supports OTP verification for added security, ensuring a safe environment for all participants.

Technical approach

The platform is built using Laravel 12 and Tailwind CSS, leveraging PHP and MySQL for the backend. I utilized Vite for asset management and optimized the frontend experience with JavaScript. The architecture supports a responsive design, ensuring accessibility across devices while maintaining performance and security.

Results

INNOFORUM successfully creates a collaborative space for academic discourse, enhancing engagement among users. The implementation of role-based access and real-time notifications has improved communication efficiency. This project deepened my understanding of building secure web applications tailored to specific community needs.
