We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Web Architect/Lead Engineer to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of a business-critical enterprise application within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
This role combines hands-on technical leadership with architectural ownership. You will define engineering standards, guide implementation decisions, mentor developers, and ensure that the platform remains scalable, maintainable, secure, and compliant.
You will work closely with solution architects, integration specialists, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver a modern, enterprise-grade platform supporting complex operational workflows across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Technical Leadership:
- Own the end-to-end architecture of the web application platform.
- Define backend, frontend, integration, and data architecture standards.
- Drive technical decision-making and establish engineering best practices.
- Design scalable, high-availability application architectures.
- Lead architecture reviews, technical spikes, and proof-of-concept activities.
Backend Development:
- Design and implement backend services, business workflows, APIs, and event-driven components.
- Define application frameworks, reusable design patterns, and domain models.
- Design database schemas, migration strategies, and data-access patterns.
- Lead integration design with enterprise systems and external platforms.
- Implement authentication and authorization solutions using modern identity standards.
Frontend Architecture:
- Define frontend architecture, component standards, and user experience patterns.
- Guide development of responsive web applications for desktop, tablet, and operational users.
- Establish performance, accessibility, and maintainability standards.
Platform Engineering:
- Design application resiliency, monitoring, deployment, and operational support strategies.
- Define CI/CD standards, testing strategies, security controls, and release processes.
- Drive adoption of modern development practices, including AI-assisted software development where appropriate.
Team Leadership:
- Mentor and support engineers through code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical coaching.
- Establish engineering quality standards and development guidelines.
- Collaborate with QA and validation teams to ensure compliance and traceability requirements are met.
Required Experience:
- 10+ years of full-stack software engineering experience.
- Proven experience as a Lead Developer, Software Architect, or Technical Lead on enterprise applications.
- Deep expertise in Python and Django, including REST APIs and modern backend architecture.
- Strong Angular and TypeScript experience.
- Strong experience with relational database design and optimization.
- Experience designing and implementing WebSocket-based systems or other real-time communication architectures.
- Experience building scalable, highly available enterprise applications.
- Strong CI/CD, DevOps, and software delivery experience.
- Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.
- Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, manufacturing, or other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with GxP, computerized system validation, audit trails, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with enterprise authentication solutions such as OIDC, OAuth, or SSO platforms.
- Experience with industrial systems, IoT, RFID, MES, or operational technology integrations.
- Experience integrating AI or LLM-powered capabilities into enterprise applications.
- Multi-site deployment and international rollout experience.
