Job Description

We’re creating something special. We are joining forces to create the biggest mobile network provider in the UK. Through our collective strengths and talents, we will transform customers’ experience and create a best-in-class network for coverage, connectivity, and reliability, delivering greater value and more choice for the nation than ever before.

There are very few moments in our careers where we can feel the ground shifting beneath us, where we can sense that something bigger than we’ve known before is taking shape. We’re not just building a company. We’re going to build a culture, a legacy and a future to be proud of. This will require remarkable leadership and together we can set the standard in the industry and beyond for both customer and employee experience, in what it is a career-defining opportunity.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of consolidated performance management, delivering rigorous reporting, insightful analysis, strong governance, and forward‑looking forecasting. You’ll drive financial accountability across teams and unlock value through data‑led insight, proactive risk management, smarter processes, and streamlined, automated reporting that elevates decision‑making across the business.

What you'll do

  • Lead end‑to‑end financial performance reporting across Networks, including consolidated analysis, forecasting cycles, budget updates, variance reviews and reforecasts to support senior decision‑making.
  • Deliver comprehensive Capex and Opex reporting, including variance analysis and challenge management, while ensuring strong financial governance, compliance and dependency mapping.
  • Provide consolidated reporting of financial risks and opportunities, ensuring forecasts remain aligned to budget envelopes and that emerging risks are proactively identified and managed.
  • Support vertical teams with accurate, timely financial inputs and contribute to company‑wide planning activities, including annual and quarterly cycles, financial risk reviews, dependency assessments and financial change initiatives.
  • Drive financial insight and value delivery through JBP tracking, synergy and value‑realisation monitoring, spend performance analysis, process‑improvement support and reporting‑efficiency enhancements, including automation.
  • Drive a culture of financial accountability across Network deployment programmes, establishing clear structures for financial management and ensuring disciplined oversight of delivery performance.

Qualifications

Who you are:

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability, with advanced Excel proficiency (including macros, pivoting, lookups and automation techniques) and experience developing and maintaining PowerBI reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage workload effectively under pressure, operating with strong self‑organisation, a proactive approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Effective communicator with well‑developed questioning and challenge skills, able to work collaboratively within teams as well as independently using sound judgement and initiative.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to rapidly identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities, supported by experience using SAP and/or Oracle purchasing systems and delivering to demanding targets and deadlines.
  • Skilled stakeholder manager operating confidently across a vertical and cross‑functional matrix organisation, applying sound judgement, constructive challenge and collaboration to drive clarity, alignment and high‑quality outcomes.
