Job Description
Role Overview
As a Shift Engineer, you will deliver both reactive repairs and comprehensive preventative maintenance. Your primary objective will be to ensure that our hotel, and facilities are preserved in pristine condition, directly contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Facility Maintenance: Upkeep the building fabric inside and out to the highest standards, ensuring all works are executed discreetly to protect the guest environment.
- Reactive & Preventative Work: Address day-to-day maintenance requests promptly whilst executing scheduled machinery testing and servicing across hotel equipment.
- Fixtures & Fittings: Inspect, maintain, and restore all hotel fixtures to perfect working order, correcting any defects swiftly.
- Emergency Response: Provide a rapid, efficient response to emergency maintenance calls from all hotel departments.
Qualifications
Candidate Profile
- Technical Proficiency: Possess practical skills in plumbing, carpentry, or electrical work; prior experience within a luxury five-star hotel environment is highly advantageous.
- Adaptability & Resilience: Demonstrate a flexible approach to changing priorities at short notice, remaining calm under pressure to prevent any disruption to our guests.
- Organisation & Detail: Exhibit strong organisational capabilities with a keen eye for detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Collaborative Spirit: Value teamwork and show a genuine commitment to supporting your colleagues across the property.
- Professional Demeanour: Approach every task with a positive, proactive, and genuinely engaging attitude.
