Physical Therapist | Orthopedic Clinic Setting

About the Role

A full-time Physical Therapist opportunity is available in Independence, Missouri. This position is based in a modern outpatient orthopedic clinic that primarily treats orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions.

In this role, the Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, build treatment plans, provide skilled therapy services, document progress through WebPT, and work closely with a clinical team that includes 2 Physical Therapists and 2 Physical Therapist Assistants. The clinic serves patients from age 11 to 90, giving the role a strong mix of cases and treatment goals.

This opportunity is open to new graduates as well as experienced Physical Therapists.

Salary Range

  • $65K–$70K annually for new graduate Physical Therapists
  • $80K–$90K annually for experienced Physical Therapists, based on years of experience

Schedule Options

The clinic offers flexibility and would strongly prefer one of the following schedules:

Preferred Schedule: Four 10-Hour Days

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
  • Tuesday off each week

Alternative Schedule: Monday–Friday

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
  • Wednesday, Friday: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

Clinical Environment

  • Patient Volume: 7–15 patients per day
  • Total Clinic Volume: Approximately 160–190 patient visits per week
  • Clinical Team: 2 Physical Therapists and 2 Physical Therapist Assistants

Responsibilities

  • Complete patient evaluations and identify mobility, strength, pain, balance, and functional limitations
  • Create individualized care plans for orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions
  • Provide manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, gait training, mobility work, balance activities, and functional rehabilitation
  • Educate patients on home exercises, activity progression, and injury prevention strategies
  • Monitor patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans when appropriate
  • Document evaluations, daily notes, progress updates, and discharge plans in WebPT
  • Coordinate with PTAs and other team members to ensure treatment plans are followed properly
  • Communicate with patients, families, referral sources, and providers when needed

Requirements

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program
  • Active Missouri Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain Missouri licensure
  • New graduates are welcome to apply
  • Outpatient orthopedic experience is preferred, but not required
  • Strong clinical reasoning, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work with patients across a wide age range and varied orthopedic needs
