Physical Therapist | Outpatient Orthopedic Growth Opportunity

Location: Lee’s Summit, MO
Position Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

A modern outpatient orthopedic clinic in Lee’s Summit, MO is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join its clinical team. This role is focused on evaluating and treating patients with orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, helping them improve mobility, strength, balance, movement quality, and daily function.

The clinic serves patients ranging from age 11 to 90, offering a varied caseload and the opportunity to work with different recovery needs, activity levels, and functional goals. New graduates are encouraged to apply, and experienced Physical Therapists will be considered for higher compensation based on years of experience.

Compensation

  • New Graduate Physical Therapist: $65,000–$70,000 per year
  • Experienced Physical Therapist: $80,000–$90,000 per year, based on years of experience

Preferred Work Schedule Options

Option 1: Four 10-Hour Days Preferred

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
  • Tuesday off each week

Option 2: Monday–Friday Schedule

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
  • Wednesday, Friday: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

Clinic Information

  • Patient Volume: 7–15 patients per day
  • Clinic Volume: Approximately 160–190 patient visits per week
  • Clinical Team: 2 Physical Therapists and 2 Physical Therapist Assistants
  • EMR System: WebPT
  • Patient Age Range: 11 to 90 years old
  • Primary Caseload: Orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions

Responsibilities

  • Perform evaluations and reassessments for patients with orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, patient goals, and functional needs
  • Provide therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, mobility training, gait training, balance work, and functional rehabilitation
  • Educate patients on home exercise programs, activity modifications, and safe movement habits
  • Track patient progress and update plans of care as needed
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in WebPT
  • Collaborate with PTAs, fellow Physical Therapists, and referral sources to support continuity of care
  • Help patients improve strength, mobility, function, and confidence in daily movement

Requirements

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program
  • Active Missouri Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain Missouri licensure
  • New graduates are welcome to apply
  • Outpatient orthopedic experience is preferred, but not required
  • Strong clinical reasoning, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work with patients across a wide age range and varied orthopedic needs
