Remote Mental Health Counselor, LCPC | Maryland Full-Time Telehealth Role

Salary: $115,000–$120,000 per year with full benefits
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Job Summary
We are looking for a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor to provide virtual mental health counseling to clients in Maryland. This role gives licensed clinicians the opportunity to provide structured therapy services while working remotely in a full-time position.
The counselor in this role will help clients identify concerns, understand patterns, build healthier responses, and work toward meaningful goals. Sessions may focus on stress, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship struggles, work-related pressure, or major life changes. The right candidate will be comfortable balancing clinical care, documentation, and professional communication in a telehealth environment.
Responsibilities
- Offer one-on-one telehealth counseling sessions to clients across Maryland
- Gather clinical information and complete assessments during intake and follow-up care
- Prepare individualized treatment plans that support client goals
- Use appropriate counseling techniques based on client presentation and clinical need
- Help clients develop coping tools, emotional regulation skills, and healthier decision-making strategies
- Document each session clearly and within required timelines
- Monitor signs of risk, crisis, or changes in client functioning
- Coordinate referrals or additional support when clinically indicated
- Maintain ethical boundaries and client privacy in a virtual setting
- Use telehealth technology in a professional and secure manner
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field
- Active Maryland LCPC license in good standing
- Previous experience providing therapy to adults, families, couples, or diverse client populations
- Comfortable delivering care through telehealth platforms
- Strong documentation, assessment, and treatment planning skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA, clinical ethics, and state counseling regulations
- Reliable internet connection and a private workspace for virtual sessions
- Ability to manage a full-time caseload with professionalism and consistency
