The Role
The Director of Physical Therapy will oversee clinical services for an outpatient physical therapy office in Stephens City, VA. This position blends patient treatment, team leadership, documentation oversight, and daily clinic coordination.
Patients come to therapy looking for practical progress: less pain, better movement, improved strength, and the ability to return to everyday activities. In this role, you will help lead that care experience while also supporting the clinical team behind it.
What You’ll Manage
- Outpatient physical therapy evaluations and treatment plans
- Direct treatment for orthopedic, post-surgical, mobility, and pain-related cases
- Clinical staff support, supervision, and care coordination
- Documentation review, compliance standards, and quality control
- Patient progress tracking and discharge planning
- Communication with providers, referral partners, patients, and families
- Daily clinic organization, scheduling flow, and service consistency
- Team guidance to help maintain strong patient care standards
Requirements
- Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Active Virginia Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one
- Outpatient physical therapy experience required
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or clinic management experience preferred
- Strong clinical reasoning and documentation skills
- Ability to lead with clear communication and practical direction
